2020 Luke Jayne: Senior Co-Captain and Florida Tech Commit!

October 2019:

May 2019: 

Luke was named TCPalm Player of the Year (Treasure Coast) by our Regional Media Outlet.

Luke helped his team earn #12 Ranking in the State of Florida in 2019 and in 2020 he will lead our team once again as one of our co-captains playing a great Florida HS schedule http://steds.lacrosseshift.com/stats#/team-schedule?team_id=66964  

Luke Jayne earned First Team District 23 Midfield, and as co-captain help lead us to our third straight District 23 Championship. He also earned the District 23 coaches nomination for All-America for the Florida Southern Regions of 23-26. He did not earn the All-America Honor in 2019; maybe in 2020 as a senior?! 

Luke earned a few more honors, including being voted in as First Team Midfield All-Florida Region (District 23 & 24), and earning MVP honors as a junior for our own Saint Edward's team as voted by SES teammates and coaches. 

Luke had 35 goals and 30 assists, and will be an asset to any college team in the future. Luke is not a flashy player, just incredibly talented and his understanding of setting up teammates or himself for plays is really uncanny!” Excellent student (3.72 GPA), excellent midfielder (ambidextrous) and is a legit scorer on either side of the cage. Very smart lacrosse player, great field sense, and changes speeds and sets up his dodges well.  Luke can dodge, feed or score going right or left, and he earns our opponent best defender every time he takes the field.  Not surprisingly, he's a excellent defensive midfielder too!

Currently he is 6'0" and goes 165lbs. Plays slot receiver in football, and cornerback in football; he's also tough as nails! He played previously for SweetLax-Florida, and more recently Dukes-Florida Team Maverik and 2020 Dukes HS Elite.  Luke is a three sport athlete (Lacrosse, Football, Basketball).
