Florida Lacrosse Families,

Eclipse Lacrosse Club is excited to announce an expansion venture in Florida. Based out of Vero Beach, Eclipse Florida will bring a national brand presence with a local team feel to the top lacrosse players on the Treasure Coast. Eclipse Director Jamie Hanford has accepted a position as the Associate Head Coach at The St. Edward’s School and will be the on-site Managing Director for Eclipse Florida during the Spring and Fall Club seasons. He will be assisted throughout the year by current Eclipse coaches and directors as well as new directors and coaches for Eclipse Florida.

Eclipse Florida will hold tryouts in January for HS players and February for Youth Players, with the club season beginning after the spring HS and Rec league seasons.

The start date for youth teams is after April 10th. The start date for HS teams is after May 8th.

Eclipse Connecticut was built by bringing premier coaches and players from a wide range of towns and schools together - Eclipse Florida will follow the same plan. Our number one focus for all of our players is to help them develop their individual and team skills as well as their Lacrosse IQ. Tournaments are an opportunity to gauge our improvement as a group.

Youth teams will have 6 fundamental skill & position clinics and 10 team practices (8 team practices for the U8 Team) + 3 team tournaments (2 team tournaments for U8 Team).

HS Teams will have 10 team practices + 3 team tournaments.

We will be running a FREE Youth Clinic on Saturday January 21st for all players interested in learning more about Eclipse!

Players from around the state of Florida will be invited to tryout for these brand new teams on the following dates and times. If your son has a conflict with our tryout dates, please contact Jamie Hanford; his information is at the end of this email.

HS Tryouts (2024, 2025, and 2026 classes) - Saturday January 21st

FREE Youth Clinic (2027 and younger) - Saturday January 21st

3:00 - 5:00pm @ Dick Bird Park in Vero Beach, 800 20th Avenue SW, Vero Beach FL, 32962

This clinic will be designed to show players what an Eclipse Florida practice will be like. Managing Director Jamie Hanford will be leading the clinic with help from Eclipse CT Directors as well as our new Florida coaches. This clinic will feature a variety of skills and drills, specific position development (attack, midfield, defense, goalie training), as well as small sided competitive games.

9:00 - 10:30am - U8 - birth dates after: 9/1/2014

11:00am - 12:30pm - U10 - birth dates between: 9/1/2012 and 8/31/2014

1:00 - 2:30pm - U12 - birth dates between: 9/1/2010 and 8/31/2012

3:00 - 4:30pm - U14 - birth dates between: 9/1/2008 and 8/31/2010
