Most Valuable Varsity Coaches

I'm lucky enough to have a very capable "pro" staff of varsity assistant coaches:

Defense:

Bill Keating: an incredible coach who we rely on for invaluable, insightful & meticulous detail.  Bill is a coach of coaches, and is at the heart of our staffs ability to "question" everything we do.  He has invaluable insights from coaching many different sports including soccer and basketball and it is not just limited to those sports (for instance golf too!).  A teacher of English Literature and sport since his mid-twenties, Bill has experience that is what I consider TACTICAL.  Coach Keating play Division I Soccer at the University of Vermont.

Robb Greenfield:  James Stagnitta, current coach of the PLL's Whipsnakes, described Robb as one of his all-time favorite players. Robb played lacrosse at Saint Edward's ('93 State Champions) and Choate School (NY) as well as played lacrosse for Coach Stagnitta at Washington and Lee University.  Robb rejoins the staff full-time this Spring, and will help Coach Keating keep my nose out of the defensive side of the field.

Offense

Jeff O'Brien:  Jeff played his HS ball at Saint Andrew's School in Boca Raton, FL (National Powerhouse), and played midfield for DIII Babson College.  Jeff works with both our attack and midfield, and does a lot of work with our passing and shooting.

Andrew Barnett:  Andrew played HS ball at National Powerhouse Darien HS in Connecticut, as well as attack for Divison III perennial power Washington & Lee University from 1999-2002.  Andrew works with our attack, sharpening our groups ability and capability to work together and perform at a high level.  Our players enjoy his calm demeanor and patience.

Sandy Wolcott:  Sandy may be our most accomplished HS and College player, who also coaches face-offs and helps with anything and everything Saint Edward's Lacrosse needs on daily basis. His HS experience included being a three sport athlete at Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA, where he played football (QB), Ice Hockey and Lacrosse (Midfield and Attack).  At Division III Nichols College, he played attack,  and was captain of the swim team 3 out of 4 years.

We all work well together and draw on our insights from many different sports, and maybe more importantly, draw on our experience as players growing up and moving up into the college lacrosse arena.
