Terry Crowley joins Saint Edward's Lacrosse!

The Athletics Department is excited to share some outstanding news with the announcement of Coach Terry Crowley joining the Saint Edward's School lacrosse program.

Coach Crowley, the former Director of Lacrosse and Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, is relocating to Vero Beach and will join Saint Edward's as our Director of Lacrosse. In this role, he will provide leadership and support for both our boys' and girls' lacrosse programs, helping to further strengthen and grow our program from the middle school through the varsity level.

For the boys program, Coach Bailey will remain Head Coach, with Coach Hanford continuing as Associate Head Coach. They will be joined once again by Coach Schepers, Coach Leiva, and Coach Bozymski as assistant coaches for the high school team. On the girls' side, Coach Cappelen will continue as Head Coach, with Coach Cassera returning as Assistant Coach.

Coach Crowley brings more than 38 years of coaching experience and is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished high school lacrosse coaches in Florida history. He is Florida's all-time winningest lacrosse coach with more than 500 career victories and ranks among the top 25 winningest high school lacrosse coaches in the nation.

During his 18 seasons at St. Thomas Aquinas, Coach Crowley built one of the premier lacrosse programs in the state. His teams captured 17 consecutive District Championships, 12 Regional Championships, five Florida State Championships on the boys' side, most recently in 2025, and one girls' state title in 2021.

His extraordinary career has been recognized with numerous honors, including 17 Miami Herald Coach of the Year awards, 15 Sun Sentinel Coach of the Year awards, two Florida Dairy Farmers Coach of the Year honors, and three USA Lacrosse Coach of the Year awards. He has also been inducted into both the US Lacrosse Florida Hall of Fame and the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

In addition to his high school success, Coach Crowley serves as Director of the FLX Crabs travel program in Plantation, where he has helped develop hundreds of collegiate players, including more than 26 High School All-Americans and Professional Lacrosse League players Michael Adler and Chris Silva.

While Coach Crowley's accomplishments are remarkable, what excites us most is the experience, leadership, and passion he brings to developing young people. His commitment to teaching the game, mentoring student-athletes, and building a culture of excellence makes him an outstanding addition to Saint Edward's School. Working alongside our outstanding returning coaching staffs, Coach Crowley will help enhance opportunities for players at every level while supporting the continued growth and success of both our boys' and girls' programs.

We are incredibly fortunate to welcome Coach Crowley to the Saint Edward's family and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our student-athletes, coaches, and the entire lacrosse community.
