Coach Bailey: 2020 Josh Pusser #2 Attack, Captain Varsity career: from the time practice starts to the time it finishes, no one put in more mind, body & spirit into a practice! Coach Keating: #2 Josh Pusser: you may not have always beaten the goalie in your one on one plays, but the fact that you continually created those opportunities is a mark of your ability that will be hard to replace - it was a pleasure working with you and I wish you the best.
Coach O’Brien: Grew up with each year. Embraced his captainship and took on a leadership role that I did not see that he had as a Junior. Always respectful and worked hard every practice. I became a fan of Josh.
Coach Wolcott: When the ball is on the ground and Josh is near it, I know the ball is going to be in his stick. A real pleasure to coach. He has a relentless effort and bleeds ST ED’S Lacrosse. Loved his spirit.
Mom & Dad Pusser: We have been watching Josh play lacrosse since he was 6 years old, and in those days, he was bigger and stronger than a lot of kids on his team. Josh always said he “liked to hit people”, but when his actual stick skill overcame his desire for knocking people down, we of course, were thrilled.
Thirteen years later, George and I like nothing better than to watch our son play attack and smoothly pass the ball on the open field. We will miss watching him and his teammates so much, and perhaps at University he will enjoy playing club, and continue to enjoy the game.
Thank you to Coach Bailey for all that you have done. I wish you great success next year.
Much love always, Beth & George Pusser
Josh’s words:
Favorite SES Boys Lacrosse moment(s) during your tenure:
Coming back to beat Martin County in the 2017 District Championship
One thing you are very proud of that you brought to your team as a player and/or person throughout your HS Lacrosse career: Hard Work
A lacrosse moment you or team moment you will never forget!
My last ever high school lacrosse game vs. Ransom Everglades before the Corona Pandemic
College you will be attending in Fall, or your next step in life toward your career goals: University of Alabama - I plan on majoring in business and playing club lacrosse as well.
Write a heartfelt thank you to your parents/family, and coaches if you like:
I can't thank my family, friends, and coaches enough for all they've done the past 5 years.
To my old teammates: You set the bar and showed us all what it takes to get to the next level.
To my family: Thank you for supporting me through the ups and downs. I definitely couldn't have gotten through it all without all of you by my side.
To Coach O'Brien, Coach VanTassel, Coach Greenfield, & Coach Ventresca: Thank you all for teaching me the ins and outs of the game. All of you contributed to our success and grew me into the player I am today.
To Coach Bailey: You believed in me from the beginning. You brought me out of the middle school fantasy and showed me that life isn't fair or easy. You pushed me through the tough times and celebrated with me during the good. You dedicated everything you have to that program and words can't thank you enough. You helped me grow into the man I am today, and I would give up anything to finish the season with the boys.
